RSPB Ham Wall. Meet by the car park buildings at 10am (note there is a £5 parking charge for non-RSPB members). We will aim to walk to Viewpoint 1, Tor View hide and Avalon hide - a distance of about two and a half miles, there and back. Possibly also Viewpoint 2 if anything notable has been reported from there. This should take two and a half to three hours. Some members may wish to return early and not walk the whole route. We would hope to see a range of duck as the numbers build towards winter; egrets and marsh harrier and a few species of migrant waders. There is a reasonable chance of glossy ibis, bittern and bearded tit. There should also be a range of smaller resident and migrant birds. With a good range of species, this will be a meeting for both beginners and more experienced birders. Leader Mat Ridley
