A friend in Clayhidon just over in the Devon border reported 2 in her old orchard this morning. Also saw about a dozen birds in flight which she did not recognise in poor light but heavy and undulating flight so could be these.

An incredible 18 Hawfinches in Holy Trinity church yard at 10:45am in flight together, with possibly another 3 more that separated from the group.

Still at least one male here every day in West Hatch, sometimes female as well. Easy to see on edge of lawn.

At least 14 Hawfinches at Holy Trinity Churchyard Street on Saturday morning. If you are on the junction of Anthony Road/Church Road, they seem to favour the trees behind the churchyard above the row of houses to the left of the church, as well as the bare trees in the churchyard itself.

Still present at Norton sub Hamdon churchyard today. At least 7 and probably 9 minimum. One calling from a tree top distantly. Still using the Yew tree in the churchyard.  Also seen 2 sparrowhawk flyovers and also a grey wagtail. Nice flock of 20+ linnet in a field near the edge of the village along with numerous fieldfares

3 birds also in Somerton Churchyard, early afternoon, perched on one or other of two large deciduous trees to west of church.
