It’s a relief to know that the RSPB have now authorised and released information on the Little Bitterns back at Ham Wall (I presume they have, as it has now been released by the SOS Committee to a wide audience ?) - one male has been around since at least 11th May. It was certainly still barking at the eastern end of the reserve last week.
Rare Bird Alert Weekly birding round-up for 15-21 June 2016 gives the following info: late news concerned a singing male at Ham Wall, Somerset from at least 17th May to 11th June. This is accompanied by an in-flight photo by James Packer.
