Yesterday evening (23rd) I was stood in the back garden not doing a lot when I noticed what I initially thought was a Hobby.  I was rather pleased to see one from my back garden.  But as it came closer I realised it was a swift.  It did seem rather large though.  Taking a look at pictures of an Alpine swift, it did indeed look very similar in terms of size and shape.  Sadly I couldnt see if it had any white bits on it as the light was failing. 

Is it the right time of year for an Alpine?

I could be very much mistaken, but keep your eye in the sky just in case 😊
