A summer plumaged Black-throated Diver has been seen a few times recently in West Somerset. There was one that overwintered along the Somerset coast so possibly this is the same bird. The most reliable place to see it is probably from Gore Point, west of Porlock Weir. High tide is best. Last 3 days, Sunday not seen, Monday seen twice, once close in, today seen distantly at 9.20 a.m.

Also in the area up to 7 Red-throated Divers have been seen. Today there were 3 Red-throats, and 3 Gannets flew west and 2 Razorbills on the sea close in. Also a Shag early a.m. offshore which then flew west.
