Whooper swan still about on Queens Sedge Moor this am, it flew across the road directly in front of my car half way across for a great view.

Late morning, about 10:30 hrs, when I saw this adult Whooper, it was with 4 Mute Swans at the eastern-end of the moor, some 200 metres off to the north side of the east/west road (Long Drove) below Harter’s Hill.
Present here since yesterday, per John Hansford on Twitter.
Also a mixed flock of about 60 winter thrushes, mostly Fieldfares with a few Redwings.

Single Whooper Swan in amongst the Mutes on Queen’s Sedge Moor this morning, initially very close to the road but on my return journey from Wells the swans has flown further back. If viewing take the one obvious road half way across the moor (towards the farm) and view from by the run of pylons for a closer view.
