A large movement of birds this morning , 0715—1215hrs, at Wall Common. Passage was to the E/NE. I counted 4,800 Woodpigeons, 1,125 Fieldfare, 1,040 Redwings, 1,030 Jackdaws and 450 Chaffinches. Passage was constant throughout the morning, numerous flocks had a mixture of these species.
Also 4 Stonechats, 2 Yellowhammers, 1 Wheatear and a single Great Spotted Woodpecker flying low E over the common. Raptors seen were Buzzard, Marsh Harrier, Sparrowhawk , Kestrel, Merlin and Peregrine.
