A quite colourful Black Tern was on Noah’s Lake Shapwick Heath at 1130 this morning i managed a couple of distant photos, unfortunately it disappeared in front of incoming drizzle around mid day.
Several parties of Sand Martins and( Swallows into double figures) passed through in a 2 hr. watch. A surprising number of Wigeon, a couple of hundred at least still present here but there were none on Catcott this afternoon where duck numbers totalled around 20 birds!
