I see that Somerset has missed out on the first confirmed breeding of a Glossy Ibis in the UK. That accolade has gone to a Cambridgeshire wetland according to a recent report by the Rare Breeding Birds Panel (RBBP).

Still there 10am today showing well.

Adult Glossy Ibis feeding on wet roadside field along Westhay Moor Drove, c.200m east of Westhay Moor NNR car park, 10:30 to 11:30 this morning. If disturbed by fast passing traffic flew up to perch in nearby tree, then came back to feed when all was quiet.
