It was still there and showing well this afternoon. A lovely bird, and a cracking find, Tim! A couple of yellow wagtails around too.

And many thanks to Jeff and Kay for calling in at my house to alert me of another rarity just 3 miles away! Great view of a second GB lifer in 2 days! We are so lucky to see so many different birds around the Westhay area. And such expertise to find and report them of course. Well done Tim.

It was me. Thanks for putting a message on this forum. I had to dash off twice!  I imagine some of the photos will be stunning. Should help with the description for the Records Committee!

Breeding plumage American Golden Plover on flooded area of Tealham Moor Drive today (Wednesday 5th June) - about 300 metres east of the junction where the road from West Ham meets the road from Mark. Also loads of Swifts, Sand and House Martins, Yellow Wagtail and Sedge Warbler singing… The plover is a really cracking bird! Still there at 2.30pm. (not sure who found it, but thanks!)
