On this morning’s high tide there were:

Little Stint, 1 imm.
Ruff, 16 - more than double my previous highest count made on Saturday 2nd.
Sanderling, 23 some in full breeding plumage
Common Sandpiper, 1
Whimbrel, 4  
Curlew, c.400  
Bar-tailed Godwit, 4  
Black-tailed Godwit, c.70  
Knot, c.100  
Oystercatcher, c.340  
Avocet, c.200  
Ringed Plover, c.300  
Dunlin, c.300
Redshank, c.50
Shelduck, c.4,000  
Wigeon, 2  
Teal, c.80  
Grey Heron, 1  
Little Egret, 24  
Cormorant, 5  
Marsh Harrier, 1  
Swallow, c.50 moving steadily NE
Whitethroat, 2  
Yellow Wagtail, 4  

Mat Ridley also had 1 Great Egret.

On this morning’s high tide at the Point, there were:

Kingfisher, 1 - only my fourth record from the NNR and all in September
Little Stint, 1 imm.
Spotted Redshank, 1
Ruff, 7 - the highest number i have ever seen here
Avocet, 308  
Golden Plover, c.80  
Ringed Plover, 53  
Whimbrel, 1  
Black-tailed Godwit, c.80  
Knot, 2  
Grey Heron, 4  
Little Egret, 32  
Kestrel, 1 m.
Peregrine, 1 imm. f.
Whinchat, 1  
Wheatear, 2  
Yellow Wagtail, 4
