PS it is a Great Northern!
Great morning along the rivers: Nathaniel Dargue counted 1325-1350 Avocets, many of which were swimming in the middle of the Parrett after high tide! Also several thousand Dunlins, Grey Plovers; juvenile ,male Merlin along posts on east side, Marsh Harrier and Kestrel on far side; lots of migrant flocks of Wood Pigeons; late juvenile Swallow and juvenile Wheatear; and best of all a diver sp. (checking photos - probably Great Northern) flying upriver. My 146th species here…
