9 shoveler, the usual single male gadwall (& RC pochard) with coot today. Didn’t see the scaup, but was quite rough in southern half. Also a meadow pipit by the cheddar tower with 4+2+3 linnet around the edge & a displaying raven

Very few pochard today, but drake red crested was diving for weed near the sailing club. Somebody photographed two female goosander earlier, but I only saw one - flying off towards Brean. Pied wags, meadow pipit & gulls were more interested in the excavation happening on the playing field & one redwing was on far side.

Didn’t see the RC Pochards or any pintail today, but there were 2 pairs of wigeon & 2 female teal amongst the southern coot. A male gadwall by the axbridge tower & unusually, a male shoveler on the side by axbridge entrance (hanging with the mallard). Also a grey wagtail on north edge

just a heads up… the reservoir is closed off for pedestrian access TODAY ONLY it’s to do with the restraint of the permissive footpath ... to avoid it becoming a public RoW
