Peregrine over the carpark and a water pipit from the first Viewing Platform this morning.
A decent afternoon at Ham Wall. Sightings included:
- A male and female Ring-necked Duck showing well west of Tor View hide.
- A Woodcock that flew off from cut reed beds at Loxtons.
- A single Bearded Tit flying between reedbeds from VP2.
- 200K+ Starling roosting.
- Several flyover Siskin with Goldfinches.
- 1 Bullfinch
- 4 Chiffchaff and 1 possible Siberian call.
- 6 Goldcrest
- Some very tame Robins incl 1 with ‘Waxwing alarm-call’.
- 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker
- 4/5 Water Rail heard.
- 3 Teal
- 3 Tufted Duck
- Large numbers of Shoveler and Gadwall.
- A few Wigeon.
- Several Lapwing.
- A Sparrowhawk.
- A male Marsh Harrier.
- 2 Great White Egret.
