There were (apparently) 7 Spoonbills seen at the same time further upriver; the 3 above are believed to have from this group.
The c. 900 Curlew (all in the seaward lagoon with a few others out on the Fenning) is my highest count since 1,000 on 28 Sept 2015 and 1,500 on 30th Sept same year.
A Curlew bearing a black ring with white lettering “9A” seen from the End Hide on 09/09/21 has come back with the following details:
“The bird in question, BLACK 9A was ringed as a chick on Ireland Moor, Radnorshire on 4th July 2017 and has been reported previously from Llangorse Lake near Brecon on 7th March 2020 “
