Dropped in at one o’clock ish today for lunch (Tues). and there in front of me part hidden in the high veg were two Black Tailed God Wits, first ones Ive seen at Catcott for months I reckon. Unfortunately they weren’t there long as we had a visit from the RAF at around 500Ft, an A400M flying north south just behing the hide put every thing up ,they disappeared and i couldn’t relocate them.

Water levels rising in front of the main hide and quite a few more ducks although largely Mallard and Gadwall. Quite a few Meadow Pipits over and a steady trickle of Swallows and a few House Martins moving through. Kingfisher from Tower Hide and Cattle Egret with cattle in nearby field.  Great, Blue and Long-tailed Tits all more evident along the droves ,one or two Chiff Chaff and lots of singing Robins
