All but 1 Whinchat gone after clear night - but 4 Wheatears, 3 Stonechats, lots of Swallows, Peregrine, Sparrowhawk unsuccessfully hunting Goldfinch and Common Sandpiper down on the Brue estuary this morning.

No fewer than 10 Whinchats and 7 Wheatears along the east and south-east sides of Blackford Moor, NE of Mark, this afternoon, and 6-7 Wheatears yesterday. Apart from a single Whinchat this spring, these are the first I have seen here since September 2007 (also 10!)
