At least 45 shoveler still, but far fewer pochard by Cheddar tower (didn’t walk around other side to see if they were sheltering from wind). Much calmer along strawberry line with singing chiffchaff, a nuthatch, Long Tailed Tit & a few redwing, plus green woodie heard axbridge end.

Many chiffchatts feeding early morning in the cut area north of the rugby pitch, and a barn owl hunting over the fields from the southeast corner.

Still 24 shoveler off the sailing club & 80 pochard by Cheddar tower (& 2 the far side, not together). Plus a green woodpecker heard & a half-hearted singing chiffchaff.

Four Mediterranean gulls in the middle of the reservoir this afternoon viewed from south of Cheddar tower, but distant and poor light. Two with partial hoods.. Also pair of goosander.
