Off Porlock Weir on 28th a Great Northern Diver and at least 11 Red-throated Divers were seen, mostly flying west, between 8am and 10.30am. Other birds seen included a drake Goosander heading south, a drake Common Scoter west, and 50+ auks (mostly Razorbill where identifiable, though many were too distant) plus a steady trickle of Kittiwakes.
Off Hurlstone Point on Friday morning a Black-throated and 14 Red-throated Divers flew west and a Great Northern went in the opposite direction. Around 30 Kittiwakes were also moving back west with 2 Med Gulls and small numbers of auks.
