On Sunday during the course of a survey of the new solar farm I found some evidence of a Woodcock casualty (presumably eaten by a fox or badger). Today, nearby, I flushed a Woodcock from a newly strimmed rhynne.

This morning, rooks and carrion crows were noted mobbing a pied Carrion Crow until the bird settled, closing its wings on the offending white panels at which point all interest from the other corvids ceased.
