One flew over chew valley lake at 10.45, which would be about the right amount of time to get from shapwick…

An Osprey flew across Ham Wall this morning at around 08.30 pursued by 2 lesser Black-backed Gulls and headed north but 30 minutes later I was told that it just been seen in Shapwick Heath so may still be around.

This morning there was an Osprey lingering at Westhay. It was seen a few times between about 10:15 and 10:40, including attempting to fish in a pond to the east of Island Hide. Last seen diving towards the pond but it didn’t come back up above the treeline so it could still be in the area somewhere.
Also 5+ hobbies around the reserve and a Spotted Fly along North Chine Drive.
