juv purple heron flew from somewhere near Noahs , crossed track to Meare Heath side, perched in tree for several minutes . then flew north maybe to check out the fishing at Westhay

also delightful sight of pair of GC grebes, four very small humbugs alongside. all four climbed onto parents back,and were fed choicest fish
