That’s interesting, because yesterday whilst out delivering groceries to older friends I was fairly sure I saw an osprey. It was flying from roughly the Meare direction, near Glastonbury football club, heading towards the edge of the town. It would have been just after 12 noon. I was driving at the time, & couldn’t get a decent view, so couldn’t be absolutely certain, but perhaps it could have been the same bird.
