This morning: Meare Heath 1 Reed Warbler with several Blackcaps along the railway line from the car park. Wigeon among increasing numbers of duck and coots on Meare Heath Lake.
Noahs hide from 9.00 until 10.00. One Black Tern, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Hobby (another visitor had seen more earlier) 1 Bittern landed in front of the hide, 3 Marsh Harriers and the usual mix of GWE, Little Egret and Grey Heron, ducks and Greylag geese.

Black Tern on Noah’s again this afternoon, plus three Hobbies.

Best, on this morning’s well attended SOS Field Meeting, was a juv Black Tern on Noah’s Lake. Other birds noted included Marsh Harrier, Hobby, Grt White and Little Egrets, Bittern, Kingfisher, Grt-sp Woodpecker and Swallows, plus 6 spp of duck.
