They don’t seem to have seen any Redstarts, but yesterday’s BOC walk is listed on Avonbirding.
Early afternoon: pair Redstarts attending nest, pair Bullfinches, willow warblers and chiffchaff. A pair of Blackcaps, also wren, robin, blackbird, jackdaw, crow, raven overhead, magpie, very unfazed roe deer right by the path.
This morning drew a blank on Redstarts, others seen in cool overcast conditions , Male Bullfinch, several Blackcaps in full voice, two Whitethroat, an abundance of Robins and Chaffinch,Song thrush
A Pair of Redstarts (scruffy looking female) feeding young near Velvet Bottom, Cheddar….. photo’s taken around 7pm this evening. Also a spotted flycatcher (difficult to photograph under dark heavy canopy but clearly spotted in bins).
