Little Egrets have been ringed on a dozen UK sites so there’s a good chance others may turn up!
Found the ringed Little Egret again this afternoon. Having checked on CR Birding site I now believe its a discoloured red ring with a black letter L on the left and a white letter J on the green ring on the right. I ‘ve sent off a couple of photo’s hopefully it will be recognised a i may hear back.
There was a colour ringed Little Egret just off North Chine Drove ( that’s north of the Westhay reserve) on Tuesday, Orange? on Left Tibia, Green on right. Iv’e just notice this looking at a poor photo I took in passing! If anyone sees it and has a scope it may be that there are letters on the rings, worth a look to try and find out where and when it was ringed
