My final estimate of wigeon in Shapwick Heath is 4158, all but 30 of them on Noah’s Lake. The Whoopers were still at the back of Decoy Lake today.

2 Whooper Swans on Decoy Lake were probably the highlight of our WeBS this morning although a new high count of 150 Pintail on Noahs was also notable (previous high of 125 in Feb 2014 were mostly on Canada Lake) while the total number of Wigeon will be revealed after I have counted them on a series of photographs taken from Noah’s hide which might take me a day or two!.
