Hi Pat, looks like a standard juv to me, Calidus would show a much more contrasting crown and supercillium, as well as having a longer moustacial stripe. It’s out there somewhere!

An apparent Calidus Peregrine was photographed by Andrew Kirkby at Catcott Lows 3 days ago, I believe this is potentially a 1st for Somerset, and from a National point of view, is significantly rarer than Gyr falcon!
The bird should be pretty easy to pick out, as it is very pallid on the underparts, with heavy streaking on the breast extending down the flanks, contrasting underwing coverts, a very long moustacial stripe and an almost Saker like crown.
