Another Balearic Shearwater flew up the Channel at Hurlstone Point this morning at 6:50 before returning to the west at 8:10. Very little off here otherwise just 4 C Scoter, 3 Gannets and a Fulmar.
A Seawatch off Culvercliffe Minehead Wind WNW moderate/rough good visibility but occasional shower squalls passing up the channel
A Balearic Shearwater at 11.50 was heading West out the channel, this is a very rare seabird for our waters and globally is a critically endangered seabird
Other birds noted were 14 Manx Shearwater 3 Fulmar and a very distant unidentified skua species possibly the Pomarine skua recorded 40 minutes previous by Nick Wall from Knighton which was also heading West 2 Harbour Porpoise were seen inshore
