Hi Ben, we saw it yesterday.

It’s not too difficult, though it’s not a very hospitable area.

Find Channel View Farm. Park. Go around the metal gate to the left of the farm and follow the path.  You will come to another gate with multiple padlocks…climb over it and walk to the sea wall. Turn left and walk towards another gate in the distance. Be careful the path is very slippery. This gate is marked no entry but we were able to make the bird out in the distance. It was with a group of Ringed Plover and some Dunlin.

High tide best.

It’s a great shame that they feel they have to lock gates and make access so difficult.

Hi all,

I see a Kentish Plover has been reported repeatedly at channel bay.  BirdGuides offer no directions to the site and the OS Maps show no public footpaths at the site, and a lot of deep channels to navigate!  If anyone has any experience of the site and is kind enough to provide any information, that would be extremely kind.
