Excellent Shots Carl. I missed it’s approach flight for a head shot like yours. That was quite a Raptor Display for 20 mins or so. I was initially hoping the Marsh Harrier was going to pass the prey item in courtship, but didn’t think the other one was a female.

The area’s gained a fair few inch’s extra water in a couple days, so many of the birds have pushed off away from the hides, so all feels much quieter at times.

I saw the Hen Harrier too Shane! I was in the other hide! 😊

Today a few of us were treated by a female Hen Harrier. It was hanging in the air near a Marsh Harrier, a Peregrine passed over them both towards it’s favourite tree. The Hen Harrier then passed right over the hides, i was luckily in the open air one so managed a few record shots to cropped. 20mins later, two Marsh Harriers put up the waders, but a kill had already been made by one, of what appears to be a Snipe. It hung about near the other Harrier for a few minutes before disappearing from view.
