1 over Westonzoyland 08:50 this morning

7 red kites over Shepton Mallet this evening, all gradually drifting approximately east. There were 5 all visible together in the air at one point.

3 Red Kites at Ham Wall late Tuesday afternoon

One circling with a Buzzard over Moorhouse, Nr Butleigh at 17.45 today

and continuing the theme… Red Kite over Hook Bridge, Curry Moor this evening (14/05). Judging by the missing wing feathers, it might have been the same one seen over Thurlbear Wood (11/05)

One over the Redlands Estate in Glastonbury - drifting West at 3.00pm.

Single bird being mobbed by crows over Butleigh STW this lunchtime. Didn’t seem to want to move away.

I wonder if the one over Thurlbear was the same one I saw on the 8th. It was certainly heading in that direction. Is it known if we have any resident in the area?

Red Kite seen at Stratton on the Fosse today at 9.15am Low and being mobbed by Crows. Heading North

A bit belated, but one seen over the A358 near Hatch Beauchamp, heading towards the fields and woods on the west side of the road on Tue (08/05), about midday.

Single red kite seen over Long Load at lunch time today

Belated report of a single Red Kite flying low over Westonzoyland at 14:00 on 07 May, heading NE during the heat of the day. Possibly the same bird reported by Julian Thomas at Meare Heath at 14:15.
Plenty of Swifts also using the village airspace over the bank holiday weekend, with up to 20 on 07 May.

Another drifted north east over Shapwick village at about 4pm today.
