I carried out a Spring Bird Survey at Westhay Heath this morning (despite vegetation above head height at times!). 2 Booming bittern, good numbers of Reed but only one Sedge Warbler, Reed Bunting, Coal Tit, Treecreeeper, Jay, Willow Warbler, Chiff Chaff, Cettis, Spotted Flycatcher, Little and Great Crested Grebe, Water Rail, Moorhen and Coot. Notable absentees: Mute Swan Gadwall and Great Tit.
