If anyone spots a colour ringed GWE please let me know. There was a ringed 2y bird at Catcott a couple of days ago but it was too far away for me to read the ring combo. Means it’s either one which has returned here after dispersal, or one not yet resighted, and either way it would be helpful to know.

It’s worth looking at the adults in breeding colours too - the red rings don’t show up that well on red legs, unfortunately. We know a few of the birds ringed here have now bred here - and we’ve ringed enough birds to have a good number now at breeding age. We are keen to know if they will come back here or establish new colonies elsewhere.
