West Moor is still more than 50% flooded and many of the droves are impassible. However, I got out to the middle this morning along the highest lying drove. Present were around 200 pintail and a smattering of wigeon and teal - a huge increase over last week when there were almost no ducks present. A record of note - approx. 200 dunlin were present on the edge of the flooding. This strikes me as a very high count for an inland site and around 10 times greater than the normal numbers I record.
