Walked from Wall Common to Hinkley Point.

The usual mix of wildfowl and waders along the shore with the highlights being:

Brent Goose - two flocks totalling 68 birds. The first was just west of Wall Common and contained 21 Light-bellied and 16 Dark-bellied. Second was between Hinkely A/B and Hinkley C. A little distant but looked like 30 Light-bellied and 1 Dark-bellied. Didn’t see any birds moving between the flocks but might have missed some Light-bellied moving between the two?

Purple Sandpiper - 14 on the structure offshore from Hinkley Point A/B. The best count was on the rising tide when all birds were counted in a single view on the lowest part of the structure. As the tide covered the lower parts, birds moved up and out of view. At high tide only 2 were visible.
