No sign of the White Stork on ploughed fields east of Meare or on nearby wetland just north of the River Brue between 17:00 and 18:30 hrs.

White Stork circled the ploughed fields south of the Meare road at about 10.30. Gained height and disappeared in the direction of Street.

I had not seen it again by the time I left at 12.45.

This evening’s bird near meare was presumably the same as photographed flying past greylake this morning
