Little Owl back on Kennard!
It must be 15 years + since I last saw / heard a Little Owl on Kennard Moor. This morning my attention was drawn to a blackbird alarm call in a willow tree I was passing - I stopped and waited … and out flew a Little Owl - what a treat that was after all this time.
There always used to be two or three pairs on Kennard . And in Cinnamon Lane there were at least four breeding pairs - all gone now and it must be 10 years since I saw or heard one there.
Also this morning of note: Meadow Pipit , Dunnock & Reed Warbler, Hare & Roebuck. A few orange tips still around.
