Couldn’t find any Yellow Wags on Tealham Moor this morning, just 6 Cattle Egrets among cattle; then on to Catcott Lows where at least 40 Cattle Egrets, some among cattle, others loafing and preening around the pool in front of the hide.

08.00 this morning. Very busy 20 minutes standing on the bridge across the North Drain on Tealham near the “usual” Yellow Wagtail field. At least 8 Yellow wags present close to the drain, mainly juveniles but included a Grey headed bird, 3 Whinchats, a Kingfisher, a Kestrel, a Sedge Warbler, a Skylark, 5 Grey Herons, Linnets, Goldfinches and Reed Buntings all visible from one spot.

Quite likely - best described as faded blue-grey with a poorly marked supercillium. Nice to see a flock of yellow wagtails!
