Today I came across a small marshy area near East Nynehead and was rewarded with fantastic views of a feeding Water Rail a bird which locally had eluded me.

The long staying Green Sandpiper is still feeding in a muddy overgrown water tank at Tonedale STW. It was exactly 5 months ago that I first saw it and I’ve seen it regularly in the same spot ever since. Today I came across a small marshy area near East Nynehead and was rewarded with fantastic views of a feeding Water Rail a bird which locally had eluded me.
