Thank you!
I seem to remember that footpath being closed recently, all OK I presume.

Still closed at the railway line but that’s just beyond the site

Today I came across a small marshy area near East Nynehead and was rewarded with fantastic views of a feeding Water Rail a bird which locally had eluded me.

whereabouts was that Stephen?

(ST160227) 3 fields East on the footpath that starts from the road south of E Nynehead (ST154225)

The long staying Green Sandpiper is still feeding in a muddy overgrown water tank at Tonedale STW. It was exactly 5 months ago that I first saw it and I’ve seen it regularly in the same spot ever since.
