Steart Marshes is on fire at the moment. Conor Boakes and family found 4 Penduline Tits near the Polden Screen early afternoon - they quickly flew off SW but were refound by Nick Wall on Stockland Marsh from path west of screen late afternoon. The Eastern Yellow Wagtail was seen at Steart Gate on and off most of the day. Two Hen Harriers (male and female) and 3 Marsh Harriers were seen over the main marsh, and several Merlin sightings, and a probable sighting of the Twite was reported from by the dung heap at Steart Gate.  Plus the usual wader spectacle.
