Yes, 6 Tundra (Taiga beans have orange right up to base of bill)

They returned about 1:30pm having now seen them with bins and photographed them I would say they are Bean Geese possibly Tundra race but I’ll leave that to one of our many experts. Pics can be seen here.

Mike & Julian they were quite a long way off and there were juveniles and one mature. I will go back in the morning and check they are still there and get a photo. Yes they can be seen from a public footpath and the road. If you want to chance it here’s the map ref ST406183 marsh lane, in the reseeded maize fields near the footpath sign. parking is difficult.

Are you sure they are pinkfeet? As 11 tundra Bean Geese stopped off north of Bristol yesterday morning (& were initially reported as pinkfeet)...

Hi Richard. Not very far from me, of course, so would be interested in seeing these. Are they viewable from a road or a public footpath, please?

Surprised and delighted to see a small family group of pink foots in an arable field on my patch here in Shepton Beauchamp.
