early morning , A splendid viewing of a Red Kite soaring above the recent scorched area at the pools , best part of 10 minutes before being harassed by a buzzard and 2 crows, also a Redstart,with rather dull plumage and on the edge of the scorched earth adjoining the fields 1 male reed bunting and 3 female, single Skylark visibly giving it’s all, and several others audible only and the same with a Bullfinch near the pool
