It seems like an exceptional year for breeding Siskin, certainly here in West Somerset. This morning I had a record number on the feeders, mainly niger and sunflower. There were a minimum of 43, 30 of which were juveniles. There could have been many more as I did not check the bushes and trees. Only one or two adult females. if they are sitting on a second brood, autumn numbers are going to be spectacular.
