All packed & ready to head to Burnham on Sea in the morning when I was reminded of tier changes. Burnham is Tier 4 from 31st, so no visits to the Kentish Plover. I suspect this also applies to Steart & Apex park too.

Sorry for the gloom, but it may save someone a hefty fine!

KP seen well along the beach at Burnham this morning, 2-3 hours after high tide. Best viewpoint by lifebelt just north of yacht club… with c40 Ringled Plovers and later a flock of Dunlin…

A Kentish Plover was found yesterday on Stert Island by Andy Slade, presumably the same bird that he found here on Boxing Day 2019 and that had over-wintered. I saw it this afternoon at low-tide in the same place, distantly from Burnham sea-front, feeding among a small flock of mostly Dunlin and a few Ringed Plover, after it had been located by Roger Musgrove.
