I saw a covey of 12 Red-legged Partridges in that area on 4th Jan, but no Yellowhammers.

I paid my annual January visit to the lane between the Poldens and Butleigh Wootton this morning. There were at least 10 Yellowhammers in the hedgerows either beside the lane or around the adjoining fields this morning. No sign of Partridges today though.
