Highlight of a cracking days birding was a male Hen Harrier hunting on Aller Moor from 1300 to 1330. Also seen there; Great White Egret, Little Egret, Stonechats, c100 Lapwings, Sparrowhawk, c25 Cranes, etc. At Swell Wood were c3 Marsh tits on the feeders with Nuthatches, Treecreepers and other Tits.
From Burton Pynsett monument were thousands of Lapwing and Golden Plover all put up by a Peregrine. Plus 2 cranes a Great White Egret and a Marsh Harrier on RSPB West Sedgemoor.
