It is clearly the weather for Ravens.

I stopped off at Lankham Bottom ( sorry Dorset not Somerset as it is managed by Dorset Wildlife Trust 😊 )  and came across almost the identical behaviour. This time Ravens arrived from all points of the compass and soon there was a large group circling and climbing. Also joined by 4 buzzards. Lots of interactions Raven v Raven, Raven v Buzzard and Buzzard v Buzzard as they went up and down. A wonderful sight that lasted for about 20 mins.

Wonderful sight of 35-40 ravens filling the skies over Exmoor, just south of Lanacre early this afternoon. Constant calling and aerial displays. Mainly in small groups of 4 to 6 ranging from a few hundred feet up and climbing to a few thousand feet up then dropping down before slowing circling around and climbing again.

Also hunting Peregrine just south of Simonsbath.

and finally the road from Simonsbath to Kinsford Gate is closed. No indication when it will reopen.
