No Cranes or Kites this morning but I did see and hear my first Lesser Whitethroat of the year near the main WWT car park and at least 24 adult and 4 juvenile Avocets from the Quantock hide. It is hard to count the Little Ringed Plover but at least 2 were flying and calling in what seemed like a display. Appropriately Wall Butterflies were on Wall Common but not many birds. Later this morning on the Quantocks I added Tree Pipits and a Small Heath butterfly.
As noted, seven Cranes over WWT this morning. Later a passing Red Kite caused a stir among the birds at the Quantock Hide.
